The ideal candidate would show strong attention to detail, with excellent technical understanding as to achieve solid quality both visually and performance wise for mobile platforms.

We are looking for someone who can be self-reliant, with the ability to take an effect from concept to production ready stage.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with artists and designers to bring VFX to life.
• Create a wide range of special effects, from environmental effects to character effects.
• Utilize various means to achieve a special effect, including particle systems and shaders.
• Develop assets optimized for the current generation of mobile platforms.
• Creative initiative to create special effects that fit the project.
• Follow stylistic guidelines for a high quality and consistent look and feel throughout the game
• Remain updated on current art production tools, software, and techniques
• Communicate with producers and other artists to create and meet scheduled deadlines

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional game art experience in a variety of genres for console or mobile phones
• Great verbal and written communication skills in English
• Self-driven, responsible, organized, and detail-oriented
• Must have the ability to work in teams, with managers and other disciplines
• Must be able to work independently and be team oriented
• Passionate about making high quality games
• Ability to configure art to engineering specifications
• Ability to multi-task, adapt to technology, and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Photoshop, and 3D Studio Max or Maya.
• Experience with working with Unity.

Bonus

• Previous experience with the development and shipment of AAA titles
• Solid traditional art skills
• Experience working internationally, being able to cater towards multi-cultural audiences
• Familiarity with social games on iOS and Android platforms
• Basic understanding of scripting
